Role: Testing Automation Engineer (Tosca)
Location: Hybrid (Tampa,FL) or Fully Remote (EST)
Duration: FTE/Direct Hire Opportunity
Rate: 115k-125k Must Have: - 5+ years of QA experience, with at least 1-2 years focused on Salesforce testing.
- Handson Tosca automation experience is a must have requirement.
- Automation framework design, TDS, and test management expertise.
- Handson experience testing Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning Components, Flows, Validation Rules, APIs).
- Ability to analyze requirements, build robust test cases, and identify edge cases.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and nontechnical teams.
General summary: The QA/Testing Automation Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of Salesforce applications and integrated systems. This role focuses on building and executing automated and manual test cases, leveraging Tricentis Tosca for endtoend test automation. The ideal candidate will have handson experience creating testing automation scripts, validating Salesforce functionality, collaborating with crossfunctional teams, and proactively identifying defects and improvement opportunities throughout the development lifecycle. This role will be the subject matter expert for Tosca, and test automation best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities: Test Planning & Execution - Develop, maintain, and execute test strategies, plans, and scripts for Salesforce features, integrations, and custom applications.
- Build scalable and reusable automated test cases and enterprise-level regrssion frameworks using Tosca (modules, test cases, execution lists, test data management).
- Perform manual testing-including functional, regression, UAT, UI, API, and smoke testing-when automated coverage is not practical.
- Validate Salesforce changes across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and custom Lightning components.
Automation & Quality Engineering - Design and enhance Tosca automation frameworks aligned with QA best practices.
- Implement continuous testing practices aligned with Agile/Scrum delivery cycles.
- Identify test automation opportunities to accelerate delivery and reduce defects.
- Troubleshoot test automation failures, maintain test stability, and optimize test performance.
Collaboration & Communication - Partner with developers, business analysts, product owners, and Salesforce admins to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, grooming, retrospectives).
- Provide test estimates, communicate testing risks, and deliver clear QA documentation.
- Support UAT testers, provide training on test processes, and ensure test readiness.
Defect Management - Log and track defects to resolution using Jira or similar tools.
- Work with engineering teams to reproduce issues, clarify expected behavior, and verify fixes.
- Analyze trends to proactively identify systemic quality issues and propose improvements.
Release & Environment Support - Participate in release readiness, sandbox validation, and postdeployment testing.
- Validate Salesforce release updates and ensure compatibility with automated test suites.
- Support coordinated testing across integrated systems, APIs, and middleware.
