JOB SUMMARY

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for overseeing and driving sales within the Western 1/3 of the US. The primary goal will be to achieve sales targets, expand market presence, and foster strong customer relationships. The RSM will lead a team of external sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their success. The RSM will provide input in presentations, planogram creation, and cross-merchandising opportunities. Nurturing and developing relationships with sales representatives, along with traveling to meetings and trade shows, is an essential part of this role.

This position is ideally based in the Western Region of the US.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Generates and develops new business to meet specified production goals.
  • Maintains and nurtures existing customer relationships.
  • Responds to all inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Understands and communicates information regarding company products, services, and policies and procedures to new and existing clients.
Sales Strategy Development:
  • Create and implement strategies to achieve regional sales targets.
  • Possess and maintains thorough knowledge of industry product information.
  • Continually gathers information on local competition and prevalent industry and business climate within the region; communicates information to management and others as needed.
  • Ensures that all required customer paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
  • Provides timely and accurate reports as required.
  • Attends and participates in business/trade events that impact business unit.
  • Attends and participates in team strategic sales meetings
Sales Forecasting:
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports.
  • Prepares and presents sales proposals.
  • Plans and manages sales territory.
  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics to ensure goals are met.
  • Communicates changes in business and provides forecasts.
Team Leadership:
  • Supports and supervises the efforts of the Independent Sales Representatives within the specified region.
  • Train and manage a team of sales representatives.
Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, sourcing, shipping, and product development, to align strategies. Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise with sales representatives or customers.
Market Analysis:
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends.
Budget Management:
  • Provide input and manage the regional sales budget.
Compliance:
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company and customer policies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or another quantitative field is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE
  • 4+ years of experience in the following areas
    • B2B sales or as a retail buyer with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
    • Selling or buying consumer products.
    • Knowledge of cross-merchandising and effective planogram placement
    • Selling soft goods that require planogram creation.
    • Working in hardware and/or farm retail channels.
    • Managing external sales representatives.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

ADDITIONAL INFROMATION

The Salary Range for this position at Mechanix Wear, LLC is $115,000 - $135,000k Annual (USD). Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to market demands, experience, training, skills, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, wellness benefits, education reimbursement program, and Vacation time.
