HCA Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled PRN RN to join our Emergency Room team within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. As a PRN Emergency Room Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will care for patients of all ages presenting with a wide range of emergent conditions, from minor injuries to life-threatening illnesses. In this role, you will perform rapid and comprehensive assessments, triage patients according to urgency, and implement evidence-based interventions to stabilize and treat patients. You will administer medications, manage IV therapies, monitor cardiac and respiratory status, assist with procedures, and respond quickly to emergencies, codes, and rapid response situations. Your ability to make sound clinical judgments, prioritize care, and remain calm under pressure is essential to ensuring safe and effective care. You will collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other members of the healthcare team to develop and carry out individualized plans of care, while maintaining accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record. Education and clear communication with patients and families will be a key part of your responsibilities, helping them understand diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions to support safe transitions of care.
