Physical Therapist (PT, RPT) Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT, RPT) to join our team in providing exceptional school-based therapy services in Alexander City. This role involves working collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students in achieving their physical and educational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students' physical therapy needs within the educational environment.
2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs and goals.
3. Collaborate with educators and other team members to integrate physical therapy strategies into students' daily activities and curriculum.
4. Provide direct therapy services to students, utilizing evidence-based practices.
5. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
6. Educate and train school staff and families on strategies to support students' physical development.
7. Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Alabama.
• Experience in a pediatric or school-based setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in physical therapy.
