Job Description

The Veterinary Center for Birds & Exotics is a bird/exotics only (no cats and dogs) full-service animal hospital in Bedford Hills, NY. We are looking to add a part-time member who can cross-train in reception and as an assistant! Must have Saturday and Wednesday availability.

Responsibilities:

• Greet all clients and patients.
• Schedule appointments and procedures for patients.
• Answer multi-line phone system and direct calls appropriately.
• Answer emails from clients, including appointment requests and general inquiries.
• Complete all invoices and take payment (cash, credit/debit card, CareCredit) from clients at the time services are rendered.
• Communicate information to veterinarians and technicians in a timely manner.
• Assist in educating clients about their pet's care.
• Interact effectively with a wide variety of people in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
• Assist Doctors and Technicians with exams, procedures, surgery, and laboratory work.
• Care for healthy boarding pets.

Candidates must be comfortable answering phones, assisting clients, handling all types of exotic pets, and working in a fast-paced environment. Looking for a friendly, adaptable, dedicated individual to join our team! Prior veterinary receptionist/assistant experience is required.
