• # Description**POSITION SUMMARY:** The Traffic Control Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing all traffic control operations for construction projects to ensure the safety of workers and the public. This role develops and manages traffic control plans in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, coordinates with project managers, field supervisors, subcontractors, and public agencies, and supervises traffic control crews to ensure proper setup, maintenance, and removal of signage, barricades, and other control devices. **ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:*** Set up, removal and monitoring of traffic control devices on a job site* Ability to recognize and make necessary modifications to ensure safe a work zone* Oversee flaggers at designated job site* Adhere to all prescribed safety practices and procedures* May be required to perform other labor/operator related tasks (based on experience, abilities, knowledge of incumbent and direction of Foreman) as necessary in assisting crew with job completion## Qualifications**Competencies & requirements:*** One year of prior Traffic Control experience* ATSSA certification/TCM certification required* Applicable dexterity, depth perception and hand/eye coordination* Highly motivated with a passion for safety* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Strong attention to detail**PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS:**The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by the Traffic Control Manager to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:* The ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction* Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus* Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl* Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.* While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work on site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.* The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud
