Sr. Project Manager I

Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and self-starting Senior Project Manager to ensure the success of the team and Business Capabilities & Solutions Delivery. In this role, you will function as the project General Manager, owning the successful delivery of all assigned projects. This position supports a large team of project managers and various business functions within a leading healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the successful delivery of all assigned projects, managing all cross-functional work stream owners including real estate, training, telecom technology, and human capital.
- Document and outline project scope and charters. Create and manage project plans, issue logs, lessons learned, and close documents.
- Identify team roles and required skill sets to assemble a high-functioning team.
- Direct the project team, resolve conflicts, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budgetary guidelines.
- Assess project progress, report status to management and key constituents, and track timelines and milestones.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 3-5 years of project management experience or similar, including successful management of major projects with at least one implementation in a non-IS business function.
Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate ideas clearly. This role requires time management, organizational, and prioritization skills to balance multiple priorities and the ability to direct project outcomes based on long-term business objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a matrixed organization.
- Familiarity with our client's products and services.
- Healthcare, PBM, or pharmacy experience.
- Experience with Smartsheet.
Work Environment
This is a telecommuter role. Standard work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CT, Monday through Friday. Overtime or weekend work is not a regular requirement but may be possible.
