The Ready-Mix Truck Driver position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a ready-mix truck used to deliver ready-mix concrete and other associated products to our construction sites while maintaining a safety-first attitude.
Delivery of Ready-Mix Concrete :
Fills water tank, checks slump of load, and cleans excess material from truck. Safely drives loaded truck to the destination on the delivery ticket and instructions from Dispatch.
Ensures all delivery tickets are signed and returned to the plant. Upon arrival, inspects job sites, works with customers to obtain adequate vehicle access, and unloads material.
Communicates truck status with Dispatch by use of two-way radio and encoders. Rinse chutes and rear of truck free of spilled concrete (re-hang extension chutes as necessary).
Returns to same yard or other yard as instructed by Dispatch and receives new instructions. Maintain good customer relations.
Vehicle Maintenance :
Education and Experience:
3 yrs. experience driving a ready-mix truck
Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with a valid medical card.
Meet minimum M.V.R. requirements. Ability to provide high standards of customer service. Ability to clean all areas on the vehicle, climb a ladder to inspect loads, and hang extension chutes.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Satisfactory work attendance record.
