Seeking a freelance Project Manager to support daily operations for a Waste Minimization team. This role is focused on helping critical waste programs run smoothly across store and supply chain networks. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, action-oriented, and comfortable managing service requests, vendor coordination, issue tracking, and operational support in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day service requests related to waste programs, including trash, recycling, and cardboard balers. Coordinate with vendors on pickups, repairs, and issue resolution. Track, monitor, and follow up on open requests to ensure timely completion. Review operational data to identify trends, gaps, and cost drivers. Provide support to store teams by answering questions and helping troubleshoot issues. Maintain accurate records and organized program documentation Escalate recurring issues and potential risks to the core team. Assist with onboarding new vendors and supporting related processes. Required Skills Strong organizational skills and consistent follow-through. Clear and practical communication with stores, vendors, and internal partners. Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities at once. Experience with Maximo or similar work order management software. Proficiency with Excel and basic data tracking and analysis. Strong problem-solving skills with a root cause mindset. Comfort working with vendors and service partners. Excellent attention to detail and process discipline. A strong sense of ownership and bias for action. Preferred Qualifications Experience using Smartsheet is a plus. Background supporting operational, facilities, or waste-related programs is preferred.
