Procurement Sourcing and Strategy Manager

Midwest Vision Partners (MVP) is seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Procurement Sourcing and Strategy Manager. Reporting directly to the Director of Procurement, this role is a critical driver of our financial health and operational excellence.

The primary mission of this role is to generate documented hard savings (cost-out from budget) and cost avoidance through aggressive RFQ management, spend categorization, and rigorous contract negotiation. As a key leader within our procurement function, you will transition fragmented data into a cohesive strategy, taking direct ownership of the spend classification and savings reporting that fuels our growth.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Execute Annual Savings Mandate : Develop and lead high-impact sourcing strategies and RFQs designed to deliver documented annual hard savings and cost avoidance across clinical and indirect categories
  • Spend Categorization & Analysis : Take full ownership of spend categorization, transforming raw data into a structured taxonomy to identify cost-out opportunities and leverage points.
  • Develop and execute category management strategies to optimize total cost of ownership for your strategic areas of spend.
  • Contract & Renewal Management : Directly manage a comprehensive negotiation pipeline, ensuring proactive engagement for all contract renewals to secure favorable terms and mitigate risk.
  • Lead all sourcing, negotiation, and contract management activities for the strategic expenditure, ensuring quality and competitive pricing.
  • Savings Reporting & Visibility : Partner with the Procurement Analyst to maintain meticulous savings trackers and performance dashboards, providing the company leadership with accurate, real-time data.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration : Build collaborative relationships with clinical teams and practice managers to ensure cost-reduction initiatives align with clinical quality and service standards.
  • Identify, develop, and implement cost-reduction initiatives and process improvements for the business
  • Strategy Development : Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned portfolios, staying abreast of market trends and technological advancements to optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

What You Know

To be successful in this role, you will have the following experience or knowledge:

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience : Minimum of 6 years in procurement or supply chain, with at least 2 years of direct category management experience.
  • Process Expertise : 1–2 years of dedicated experience in procurement process ownership or "Center of Excellence" work, specifically improving procurement workflows is highly preferred
  • Sector Knowledge : Deep familiarity with the healthcare vendor landscape, pricing structures, and compliance considerations is highly preferred.
  • Certification : A relevant professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is highly desirable.

The base range for this role is shown above. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired close to or at the maximum of the pay range. Base pay depends on individualized factors including experience, qualifications, job-related knowledge, and skills.
