Job Description FocusOne Mortgage Servicing is seeking a detail-oriented Servicing Compliance & Licensing Specialist to support mortgage servicing regulatory compliance and licensing activities for our operations in Northwest Houston . This role is responsible for ensuring the organization maintains full compliance with federal and state mortgage servicing requirements through accurate regulatory reporting, effective state licensing management, and the development and maintenance of servicing policies and procedures. The specialist will oversee regulatory filings, including NMLS Mortgage Call Reports (MCR) and MBFRF reporting , manage state mortgage servicing licenses through NMLS and state regulatory portals , and maintain policies and procedures aligned with evolving regulatory requirements. This role works closely with internal teams—including accounting, servicing, and compliance—to ensure reporting accuracy, regulatory readiness, and operational alignment. The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of mortgage servicing, compliance, or licensing experience , strong familiarity with NMLS reporting and state licensing administration , and the ability to translate regulatory requirements into clear operational policies. Experience with ICE MSP and working within a regulated financial services environment is highly preferred. This position plays a key role in supporting FocusOne’s commitment to regulatory excellence, operational transparency, and client service , while also acting as a resource for clients requiring documentation or reporting support for audits and compliance reviews. Position Summary The Servicing Compliance & Licensing Specialist is responsible for overseeing regulatory reporting, state licensing administration, and the development and maintenance of servicing policies and procedures. This role ensures the organization maintains compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements related to mortgage servicing, including NMLS reporting, MBFRF reporting, and state licensing obligations. Essential Duties & Percent of Time Spent Policy & Procedure Development (40%) Draft, maintain, and update servicing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Review regulatory updates and translate them into operational policy updates. Regulatory Reporting (25%) Prepare, review, and submit NMLS Mortgage Call Reports (MCR) and other required filings through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System. Manage and submit MBFRF (Mortgage Bankers Financial Reporting Form) reporting requirements in accordance with regulatory timelines. Coordinate with internal departments (accounting, servicing, compliance) to collect and validate data used in regulatory filings. Monitor regulatory deadlines and ensure all required reports are submitted accurately and on time. State Licensing Management (25%) Manage and maintain state mortgage servicing licenses through NMLS and state regulatory portals. Track license renewals, amendments, and jurisdictional requirements. Prepare and submit applications, renewals, and updates for new or existing licenses. Function as the primary liaison with state regulators regarding licensing inquiries and documentation requests. Client Support (10%) Point of contact for client requests for reporting or procedures needed to support their audit activities. Experience 3–5+ years of experience in mortgage servicing, compliance, or licensing administration. Experience with NMLS reporting and licensing management. Familiarity with MBFRF reporting requirements. Experience creating or maintaining policies and procedures in a regulated financial environment. Knowledge & Skills Strong knowledge of mortgage servicing regulations and licensing requirements. Proficiency with the NMLS system and regulatory portals. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent written communication skills for policy and procedure documentation. Ability to manage multiple regulatory deadlines simultaneously. ICE MSP experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
