Job Summary Part-time late afternoon/evening Under the direction of an Instructional Administrator, a Regional Occupational Program (ROP) instructor provides instruction to secondary school students in competency-based, career technical education courses in order toprepare them for college and career. ROP classes are taught by instructors who have trained and worked in the industry they are teaching. Once hired, instructors must enter a teacher credential program and ROP provides additional training and coaching support. Many ROP classes provide real-world experience by placing students in work-based learning.
