Job Summary Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for full-time, non-tenure track faculty positions as Lecturer of Political Science in the School of Government and International Affairs with a preferred start date of August 2026. These nine‑month contracted positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia. Responsibilities Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Political Science. Teaching courses of variable size and modalities, including large class sizes. Demonstrating a strong commitment to undergraduate education and mentorship. Serving the department, college, university, and profession through professional activities. Required Qualifications To teach undergraduate courses: a minimum of a Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Political Science or a closely related discipline, or a Master’s degree in a non‑related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline. To teach graduate courses: a terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Political Science or a related discipline. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D., or the foreign equivalent, in Political Science or a related field. Experience teaching in‑person, online, or hybrid courses. Evidence of teaching excellence across a broad range of political science courses. Record of past teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate level. Ability to teach introductory courses in Political Science, American political institutions, or international law. Experience teaching American government, comparative politics, or international relations. Ability to mentor undergraduate research.
