General Summary An HAVC Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and installation of commercial and residential HVAC systems. work to be performed throughout Southern Arizona at US Border Patrol Stations. 4-10s. No on-call. Must pass the Department of Homeland Security Background Investigation Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performing routine maintenance
• Troubleshooting
• Repair
• Removal and Installation
• Communicate equipment deficiency
• Work with others

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

• Must pass the Department of Homeland Security Background Investigation
• Ability to perform most tasks of the craft without supervision
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints, construction drawings,

schematics and diagrams

• Ability to drive safe
• Trained in all types of sizes of air condition refrigeration and evaporative

cooling equipment * Enviromental Protection Agency (EPA) certification to purchase and handle ozone depleting chemical as outlined in federal and state regulations.

• Work in a team
• Boiler and Chiller experience a plus

Working Conditions * Must be able lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and knell for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions. * Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable.
