Intermountain Health is seeking a skilled Echo Vascular Technician to join its Healthcare & Medical Services department, supporting high-quality diagnostic care across our hospitals and clinics. In this role, you will perform echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound studies to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular disease. Working directly with cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and other providers, you will obtain high-quality images, perform accurate measurements, and document detailed findings in the electronic medical record while adhering to established protocols and patient safety standards. The Echo Vascular Technician will prepare patients for procedures by explaining tests, verifying medical histories, and ensuring physical and emotional comfort throughout each exam. You will select appropriate imaging parameters, operate ultrasound equipment, and adjust techniques to accommodate patient condition and body habitus. Responsibilities also include recognizing and documenting critical or emergent findings, communicating urgent results to the care team in a timely manner, and maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism in all interactions. You will help maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, ensure proper infection control and room cleanliness, and follow all quality assurance and accreditation guidelines. Aligned with Intermountain Health’s culture of excellence, compassion, and integrity, the ideal candidate demonstrates strong patient-centered care, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous learning. You will collaborate closely with nurses, technologists, and physicians in a team-based environment that values open communication and respect. Intermountain Health offers a collaborative and innovative workplace with opportunities for professional growth, such as cross-training in additional cardiac and vascular imaging modalities, participation in quality improvement initiatives, and involvement in educational activities for staff and students. This position is well-suited for an Echo Vascular Technician who is motivated to contribute to community-oriented care, uphold the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction, and stay current with evolving technologies and best practices in cardiovascular imaging. Candidates should be proficient in adult echocardiography and non-invasive vascular ultrasound, familiar with digital imaging and reporting systems, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining empathy and professionalism with every patient encounter.
