In this resident facing position, as one of the Community Support Specialists for independent living, your primary mission is to enhance the quality of life for our senior residents by fostering an environment of support, engagement, and well-being. You will support the unique needs and preferences of each resident, ensuring they have access to the necessary resources and services for a fulfilling and independent lifestyle by effectively communicating valuable insights to other team members. Your role involves compassionate communication, personalized assistance, and creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere where every resident feels valued and empowered. You will support their independence while providing peace of mind to both residents and their families. Major Tasks, Duties, And Responsibilities Ensure resident satisfaction, privacy, and rights, aligning with the Mission. Respond promptly to resident requests and needs. Ensures compliance with senior housing laws, regulations, and Beatitudes Independent Living Contracts. Collaborates with staff, residents, and families to promote residents’ autonomy. Communicates available services, maintains resident safety in accordance with Resident Handbook and connect them with the Resource Navigator when appropriate. Assist with new resident orientation. Track attrition. Communicate available services and maintain resident safety. Maintain and update parking spots, records, and policies. Maintain and update Independent Living Handbook and policy book. Support Resident clubs or committees as the staff liaison. Support the Technology Concierge with resident Wi-Fi troubleshooting. Manages communication tasks, including calls, possible work requests submissions and follow up for residents. Support Independent Living Communication via technology and bulletin content. One of the points of contact for Independent Living residents regarding communal living questions or concerns. Requirements High school diploma or GED Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be a team player. Must have or be able to obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card.
