Positional Overview

The Imagine Group is recruiting for a Chemical/Facilities Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading North American designer and manufacturer, with a state-of-the-art facility in Fort Mill, SC.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting facility infrastructure, building systems, and maintenance engineering initiatives to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing environment. You will contribute to preventative maintenance programs, support capital improvement projects, troubleshoot facility systems, and partner with operations and maintenance teams to ensure reliable building and equipment performance that supports continuous production.

Role & Responsibility:

• Support the operation and reliability of plant facility infrastructure including HVAC, electrical, utilities, and building systems to maintain a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.
• Assist in the development and optimization of preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime, improve equipment performance, and extend the life of facility assets.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to facility operations and infrastructure systems.
• Partner with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support equipment installation, facility modifications, and commissioning of new machinery or systems.
• Identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and support sustainability initiatives that reduce operating costs and environmental impact.
• Assist with planning and execution of facility upgrades, equipment installations, and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Provide technical support for facility systems troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors supporting facility maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades.
• Contribute to the development of contingency planning and emergency response procedures related to facility infrastructure and utilities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility reliability, operational efficiency, and overall plant performance.

Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with energy efficiency measures and sustainable facility practices.
• Strong technical understanding of building systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, utilities, and facility infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Proactive and results-oriented approach to facility engineering and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance best practices, regulatory compliance requirements, and safety standards within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting capital projects, facility upgrades, or infrastructure improvements in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
