Mercy is seeking an Advanced Sonographer to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department within our leading, patient-centered healthcare organization. In this role, you will leverage your advanced clinical expertise to perform complex diagnostic ultrasound examinations across a broad range of specialties, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and small-parts imaging, while supporting our mission to provide compassionate, high-quality care to the communities we serve. As an Advanced Sonographer at Mercy, you will independently perform and optimize a wide variety of sonographic studies, using state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment and adhering to established protocols and safety standards. You will carefully review patient histories, correlate clinical information with imaging findings, and provide precise technical impressions that support accurate diagnoses and timely treatment decisions. Working closely with radiologists, cardiologists, and other providers, you will assist with ultrasound-guided procedures and contribute to multidisciplinary care planning. This position plays a key role in mentoring and serving as a clinical resource for other sonographers and students, modeling best practices in image quality, workflow efficiency, and patient-centered communication. You will participate actively in quality improvement initiatives, protocol refinement, and equipment optimization, ensuring that Mercy’s imaging services remain at the forefront of innovation and excellence. Aligned with Mercy’s culture of compassion, diversity, and respect, you will provide clear explanations of procedures, respond to questions, and create a reassuring experience for patients and their families, often during vulnerable moments in their healthcare journey. You will demonstrate cultural sensitivity, uphold privacy and confidentiality, and consistently practice safe, aseptic techniques in accordance with organizational, state, and federal guidelines. At Mercy, you will collaborate within dynamic, interdisciplinary teams that value your clinical insight and encourage continuous learning. You will have access to ongoing education, opportunities to expand your skill set in advanced sonographic modalities, and participation in lifesaving innovations in patient care. In return, Mercy offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement savings options, supporting your wellbeing as you support ours. If you are an experienced, credentialed sonographer who thrives in a collaborative environment, is committed to exceptional diagnostic quality, and is eager to mentor others while advancing your own practice, Mercy invites you to bring your expertise and compassion to our Advanced Sonographer role.
